Product Description
Hoop skirts originated as a modest-sized mechanism for holding long skirts away from one's legs, to stay cooler in hot climates and to keep from tripping on the skirt during various activities. The hoop skirt remained popular for many decades but eventually the style fell out of favor by the end of the 1860s but are still worn today for weddings, formal events and cosplay. Our white hoop skirts would generally be worn for weddings while the black would be for Victorian, steampunk or cosplay events.
Our 3 ring hoop skirts are made with polyester and tulle. It's 96 inches in circumference at the 3rd ring. The tulle skirt is 40 inches long the floor. Hoop skirts are meant to be worn to the ankle to avoid the hoop getting caught walking across the floor. The elastic part of the waist fits to 36. But the waist string can accommodate up to a 42 waist.
