Nute : who were cast away in the American ship Mentor, on the Pelew Islands, in the year 1832; and for two years afterwards were subjected to unheard of sufferings among the barbarous inhabitants of Lord North's Island.
A first edition in very good condition. Original cover in brown embossed cloth with gilt title lettering. Features fine wood-engraved plates including the front pages. Pages are aged and spotted in some places, but overall a very collectable and perfectly readable item.
