Product Description

These shoe-shaped stirrups are made of brass. They come from South America. They are known as "Conquistador" stirrups and were used from the 17th-18th C. onwards in New Spain territories. The shape would protect the rider's feet from injury. They have engraved decorations all around the stirrup. The hollow Diamond holes in the inner foot area were designed for Water to drain through in wet weather conditions. Back during the war, these stirrups were made from Brass Bells and also from Brass Cannons.
