Product Description
This listing is for a vintage set of 2 Cigar Store Indian Statues/ Figurines. It's an Indian Chief & an Indian Maiden, and they're made by ALFCO, which stands for Artistic Latex Form Company. The company was based out of New York and was in business from the late 1950s or early 60s up to the 1970s. They made various statues & figurines from this lightweight composition, which looks like genuine carved wood. The chief and maiden don't perfectly match (I believe they're from different years), but they still display very well together. *The Chief measures 12 3/4" tall and the Maiden is 11 3/4" tall. Both bases measure 3" x 3". *Good vintage condition! The Chief is in better condition than the Maiden is. The Chief has great color & very minor wear. Most of the felt on the bottom is gone. The Maiden does have some chipping and cracking, which can be seen in the photos. The felt on the bottom is intact. *Pictures 1 & 2 are of both The Indian Chief & Maiden together. Pictures 3-7 are of the Chief & pictures 8-12 are of the Maiden. *These are both early models but are not a 100% perfectly matching set. The small plaque on the back base of the Chief reads "Artistic Latex Form Co NYC". The small plaque on the back base of the maiden reads "Artistic Latex Form Co Inc - NYC" and it has a copyright symbol in the middle. *Super Rare! Highly collectible! *! Don't let this Vintage ALFCO Cigar Store Indian Chief & Maiden Statues/Figurines get away!!!
